Often, when faced with sudden loss through the death of a loved one, the experience of a traumatic event, or being placed in the role of caregiver when a parent, spouse or child is diagnosed with a debilitating illness, one may feel he/she has lost control in his/her life. Negative thoughts can become intrusive. You may experience feelings of guilt, shame, anger and even of entrapment. You may find you have no energy, are depressed, unmotivated and worried about your situation. You may feel like there is no way out; no light at the end of the tunnel.
Regardless of one's experiences [negative and positive], living is about facing the challenges head-on, healing, and living up to our true potential. Unfortunately, life throws sliders and curve balls at us for which we often feel unprepared. Yet, within each of you is an internal well filled with the resources and strength to face your losses and move forward. You are one step closer to tapping into your full potential. Transformation occurs when you, once again, find your way out of the tunnel into the light and are able to jump off the revolving hamster wheel.
In our work together, you will be asked to set goals and tap into your internal strengths and take action. While you can't change your life experiences, you will better understand how your experience has shaped who you are in this moment, how you relate to others and resolve the challenges you now face in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, you will be able to unearth patterns of difficulty and/or negative perceptions you have that may be holding you back. Once defined, you will create and implement a wellness plan for living. Through practicing the healthy and safe strategies in your wellness plan, you will experience a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you want to move in a new direction in your life and need someone to hold you accountable in reaching your goals, a Life Coach may be most helpful to you. In the role of Life Coach, my focus is not on how the past has influenced you now, but instead I will partner with you in helping you create goals and take action as a way to help realize your vision and dreams. You will be given assignments to complete that are geared toward realizing your dreams and help you move in a direction in your life you have identified as wanting to achieve. Whether it is a change in careers, deepening your relationship to you and/or a partner, or just needing someone to help you be accountable, my goal is to help you help yourself by accessing your inner strength and create balance in the mind, body and spiritual realms
